DESCRIZIONE
A marvelous pair of bulls in Cloisonné placed on separated basements. Different colors of enamel. The basic color is Blue. First samples dates back to China of XV century with the name of Jintailan, literally Jingtai in blue, because it was exclusively dedicated to an Imperial Court that dressed in Blue, by the Emperor Jinghai (1450-1456 circa)of the Ming Dynasty. By the beginning of the 18th century the Kangxi Emperor had a cloisonné workshop among the many Imperial factories. The most elaborate and highly valued Chinese pieces are from the early Ming Dynasty, especially the reigns of the Xuande Emperor and Jingtai Emperor (1450–57), although 19th century or modern pieces are far more common.
